QNAP announces the launch of its 1, 2-bay NAS with ISCSI

QNAP Systems has announced the release of its TS-119 and TS-219 one and two-bay Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems this week. These systems are equipped with iSCSI support. However, QNAP Systems has not announced the prices of these systems. According to the company, both these systems are desktop NAS appliances. They have been specifically aimed at home, small home office, and medium level business users. The box of both the systems houses a 1.2 GHz CPU and 512 MB DDR2 RAM that lends enormous power to the embedded operating system. As far as other specifications of the box are concerned, it comprises front and rear-facing USB 2.0 ports, an external Serial ATA (eSATA) interface, and a Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) network interface.
